Divv (“we”, “our”, “the app”) helps you split receipts with friends. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
- Account info — name, email, phone number, username, profile photo
- Receipt data — photos of receipts, parsed items, prices, restaurant names
- Payment handles — Venmo and Cash App usernames (for sending payment requests)
- Contacts — phone numbers from your contacts (only when you grant permission, used solely to find friends on Divv)
- Location — your approximate location (only when you grant permission, used for the Places map)
- Usage data — which features you use, app crashes, performance metrics
How we use it
- To provide the receipt splitting service
- To connect you with friends
- To show restaurants on the Places map
- To improve the app
What we don't do
- We never sell your data
- We never share receipt photos or financial data with third parties
- We never access your contacts without your permission
- Payment handles are only visible to people on the same receipt
Data storage
Your data is stored securely on Supabase (hosted on AWS). Receipt images are stored in encrypted cloud storage.
Account deletion
You can delete your account at any time from Profile Settings. This removes all your personal data, profile, and receipt history.
